A Best Friends Angels Rest Pet Memorial from a Friend

T.B.O.

2005 – 2024

T.B.O. was my sweetest baby, my best friend for 19 years. My old boyfriend's nephews rescued a litter of 3 newborn kittens when they visited me in LA and named him The Big One because he was twice as big as the other two. I kept the whole litter and shortened his name to T B.O. i enlisted neighbors and co-workers to help bottle fed the kittens every 2 hours.

He was very sick at one point when he was young and almost died. It was my sister Laura, an emergency room vet, who diagnosed him long distance at 4 in the morning after i woke her up, and saved his life. Laura saved his life quite a few times.

T.B.O. loved me the most of the three and always wanted to be with me. He loved the outdoors and had many night time adventures. But he always came back. We were so attached. He was so active and fit and seemed much younger than his years. He loved sitting in my lap. And our favorite thing was sleeping until noon or later on weekends He would tap the covers like he was knocking on the door to come in. And he would sleep there, cuddled with me.

I miss him more than I can bear. Thank you everyone for your support and sharing this grief with me.

Remembrances

Leaving a personal story, memory, or words of support for a pet’s family is a heartfelt way to pay tribute and provide comfort. As part of your remembrance, we also invite you to leave a virtual token along with your words — similar to our tradition here at the Sanctuary of leaving stones, beloved items, or small toys on the graves of cherished animals.
What a good boy he is? Can you ever ask this question enough of your pet, of your of your Mr Man, of your Baby Boy, of your little one ( well in this case- Big One! Lol)? The answer is simply ....nuh! Our lil boys and girls help us in life so very much. They show love when we need it, they are rambunctious when when we need it- even if it doesn't feel like the right time to us-- everything thing happens for a reason. Death is a natural part of life, and the most life giving aspect really. TBO gets go purr with the creator of all of this. He is free fa free free. I love you Katherine. Good show. This is a cool idea and great way to remember TBO. You and he did give me a lil inspiration and permission to not have to name my guy just any old name - so Kitty- Yup and I appreciate that to ;) God bless beautiful girl and rest in peace The Big One, Love Luke

Lilac butterfly
As we were thinking about what to write on here, a butterfly was fluttering outside the window. While there is no way to know with certainty what that means, it’s nice to think that maybe it was a sign that TBO is no longer suffering and is now at peace with only his love for you in his kitty heart. TBO was SO lucky to have you for his mom, Katie. We hope you see a butterfly soon.

Rest in peace TBO. I remember those three cats used to jump around you as you walked around your apartment in LA, it was like they were a forcefield. Glad you had so many happy times with TBO, he was such a good cat.
