Remembrances
Leaving a personal story, memory, or words of support for a pet’s family is a heartfelt way to pay tribute and provide comfort. As part of your remembrance, we also invite you to leave a virtual token along with your words — similar to our tradition here at the Sanctuary of leaving stones, beloved items, or small toys on the graves of cherished animals.
Alley I am so very sad that the time has come to write this. I don't want to accept it. You were the perfect Viking Princess. Bootiful. Aloof. Self-assured and strong. You kept your brothers in-line. You saw your Mom through some very hard times and in your eyes she was yours alone. You ruled your kingdom with an iron paw. Lived life, and left it, on your own terms. You were Mom's brave, beautiful and loving Viking girl for your whole life and now forever more. So many friends the world over mourn your passing and shall remember you always. I hope you are still singing The Song of Your People at the top of you lungs all over the heavens. I will remember you whenever I look at the stars. ✨💫 Till we meet again, Sweet Princess.
This may seem out of sorts but it used to always make me smile or laugh when she would leave special gift🤮 for you on your clean bed or in another special spot. You would have to clean everything and when you showed her picture is was like she was telling you to get over it and just clean it up. Always gave me a good laugh, she was so sweet.
Gone but never forgotten
I loved Alley's cranky take-no-crap attitude. She reminds me so much of my late rescue as a three-week-old kitten Miss Bert, who was a cranky grandmother from when she was tiny, and only loved four people. But love those four people she did. Alley was loved by many, but most especially by Mum. Run free, girlie. 💕
