A Best Friends Angels Rest Pet Memorial

Phoebe Schreiber-Axis

2009

Phoebe was the brightest cat I have ever known. She thought she was human and wanted to be as tall as me. I'd pick her up and she'd hang on my shoulder as if she never wanted to be anywhere else. She wouldn't miss out on a hug either - whenever my husband hugged me she would come running, asking to be hugged too. We were a threesome for eight years.

Phoebe, I learned a lot from you. You were cool, confident, and always the life of the party. It was your world and I just lived in it. I was happy to serve you for 16 wonderful years. I hope you are getting lots of pets and love wherever you are. I will always miss you.

Remembrances

Leaving a personal story, memory, or words of support for a pet’s family is a heartfelt way to pay tribute and provide comfort. As part of your remembrance, we also invite you to leave a virtual token along with your words — similar to our tradition here at the Sanctuary of leaving stones, beloved items, or small toys on the graves of cherished animals.
