A Best Friends Angels Rest Pet Memorial

Francis

2012 – 2026

Francis blessed my life for almost 12 years, before having a stroke, and losing all control of his body. He was terrified, and there was little to no hope that he would ever improve. I made the decision to end his suffering, although it breaks my heart. I keep looking for him in my house, forgetting for an instant that I will not find him. I go to bed without him beside my pillow. I take my bath, without him sitting on the bathroom rug. My heart feels crushed. I can only hope that he is somewhere now where there is no pain, and no infirmity. I love you, Francipants. I will always love you.

Remembrances

Leaving a personal story, memory, or words of support for a pet’s family is a heartfelt way to pay tribute and provide comfort. As part of your remembrance, we also invite you to leave a virtual token along with your words — similar to our tradition here at the Sanctuary of leaving stones, beloved items, or small toys on the graves of cherished animals.
