A Best Friends Angels Rest Pet Memorial

Jack (nee Lyle)

2012 – 2026

From Best Friends in 2015 to my heart in 2016 and ever since. Our gratitude to Caylee Boone (RIP) and Glenn Pierce who believed in my boy, gave him a chance, and trusted me to give him a good life, which I tried to do every single day. You were loved, Jack Jack.

Remembrances

Leaving a personal story, memory, or words of support for a pet’s family is a heartfelt way to pay tribute and provide comfort. As part of your remembrance, we also invite you to leave a virtual token along with your words — similar to our tradition here at the Sanctuary of leaving stones, beloved items, or small toys on the graves of cherished animals.
In Loving Memory of Jack Jack
Jack Jack was deeply loved and will always hold a special place in Oma’s heart. He brought so much joy, comfort, and happiness into my life. I loved him more than words can say and took great delight in showing love — especially by giving him all the treats he could hope for.

Those little moments of kindness, the happy greetings, and the shared treats became precious memories that will never be forgotten. Jack Jack was cherished, spoiled with love, and truly treasured by your Oma.

You will be missed dearly, sweet Jack Jack. Thank you for the love, companionship, and beautiful memories you gave us. Oma will always love you.

Ode to Jack Jack, the Shepherd Who Chose His People

Jack Jack, you were not my dog by name,
But love does not always follow the same.
You belonged to those who shared your days,
Yet I loved you fiercely in my own ways.

A shepherd’s shape and a mighty heart,
A dog who made an unforgettable mark.
Unknown origins, but a story well known —
You were always yourself, completely your own.

You carried your opinions proudly and true,
With a look that said exactly what you’d do.
Your paws were sacred, your rules were clear,
And everyone learned to approach with care.

But beneath that growl, beneath that might,
Was a dog who knew joy and delight.
A pup cup could bring a spark to your eyes,
A simple treasure in a dog’s paradise.

And nothing compared to the open road,
The hum of the car, the miles that flowed.
A ride was freedom, a ride was bliss,
A place where happiness couldn’t be missed.

You shared your world with Stella too,
A sister with spirit, strong and true.
And Bella, a dog with opinions of her own,
Earned your respect — a bond you’d shown.

Jack Jack, you were never ordinary,
A little bit stubborn, a little legendary.
You taught us that love is not measured by claim;
A dog can touch a heart without sharing a name.

So here’s to you, big shepherd friend,
May your car rides and adventures never end.
For those who loved you, the truth will remain:
A dog like Jack Jack is not forgotten again.

So sorry I never met him. He was a dear friend to Wit and for that I know he had a good soul. So glad you had the chance to give him comfort and a good life.
My heart is with both of you and Stella at the passing of this family member.
Hugs to all of you❤️❤️❤️
