A Best Friends Angels Rest Pet Memorial

Nick

2010 – 2026

Nick, the day we had to say goodbye to you changed our lives. When we let Ralph cross the Rainbow bridge in 2009 we swore we would never have another pet, our hearts were so broken. But almost two years later we knew we had to adopt a dog. We went to a rescue group for a female Havanese, but they brought you to us and you made it very clear we were not leaving without you. And beginning that day, you amazed us on a daily basis. We soon learned that either you thought you were human, or you thought that we were also dogs. It was clear you thought the three of us were equals and we came to that realization pretty quickly. Mostly you made us laugh. You were the smartest furry being on this earth. And now, when you are no longer on this earth, we hope you are running with Ralph in the fields around the Rainbow Bridge. We are focusing on your life with us and the pure joy you brought. Love, Meema and Yo

Remembrances

Leaving a personal story, memory, or words of support for a pet’s family is a heartfelt way to pay tribute and provide comfort. As part of your remembrance, we also invite you to leave a virtual token along with your words — similar to our tradition here at the Sanctuary of leaving stones, beloved items, or small toys on the graves of cherished animals.
