A Best Friends Angels Rest Pet Memorial

Lenny

2011 – 2026

It broke our hearts to make the decision that was heartbreaking for us but best for you. Our stubborn lovable mischievous 4 legged good boy. Lenny we will love you and remember you forever. We rescued you eleven years ago but you really rescued us filling our home with so much joy Our vet estimated you were 15 years old Last year We thought your heart condition would take you - it took 4 days in hospital and thousands of dollars but you rallied and we had you for another 8 months. And then the sad news It was cancer and it had spread all over. What made the decision so grueling was some days you didn’t seem so bad but some days you were obviously very uncomfortable in spite of all the meds, all the interventions, all the tlc We are trying hard not to second guess our decision but it hurts so bad. One day we’ll remember the beautiful life we shared and smile instead of break down and sob. Be well our boy until we meet again over the bridge Our hearts are broken we love you forever Lenny We put you near us forever in our yard under the dog paw windchimes. Run free sweet boy

Remembrances

Leaving a personal story, memory, or words of support for a pet’s family is a heartfelt way to pay tribute and provide comfort. As part of your remembrance, we also invite you to leave a virtual token along with your words — similar to our tradition here at the Sanctuary of leaving stones, beloved items, or small toys on the graves of cherished animals.
