Remembrances
Leaving a personal story, memory, or words of support for a pet’s family is a heartfelt way to pay tribute and provide comfort. As part of your remembrance, we also invite you to leave a virtual token along with your words — similar to our tradition here at the Sanctuary of leaving stones, beloved items, or small toys on the graves of cherished animals.
Buster....... you might have been tiny but you had a BIG personality. We always knew who was the boss even when it came to Ned. Loved hearing and seeing pictures of you doing your thing on your walks whether that be in the afternoon or in the weeee hours of the morning. Even if that meant sitting in the middle of the street expecting all the cars to stop or go around you. It was your world and we got to share it with you.
To our little Buster. You weren’t technically our fur baby but we loved you like you were. You never stopped making me smile and even on one of my worst work from home days, all it took was seeing you strut down the sidewalk in the neighborhood or seeing you sit in our driveway waiting for treats to turn my frown upside down. One of my best and most treasured memories of you was when I got to watch you while your family went on vacation. You played me like a fiddle. Getting me up at 3:00 am to go outside for what presumably was a “bio break” but, was in actuality just Buster wanting to go outside and tour the yard for awhile! You were such a little stinker. We loved to drive by your house and see you looking out the door to make sure that you guarded the house from any FedEx deliveries. And to hear you bark that special little bark that was only just for us. I’ll always imagine you there little buddy. Miss you beyond measure. Cracker, Puddy and Shaggy will show you the ropes now that you have crossed the rainbow bridge to join them.
By sharing this pet’s memorial page, you’re helping to keep the memory of a beloved companion close — and you’re helping others understand the place pets forever inhabit in our hearts.
