Ariel
We never knew Ariel’s birthday- she came to us off the streets, where she’d been rescued with her litter of puppies. She was perhaps one or two years old.
All her life, she never lost her taste for going adventuring… sometimes with us, sometimes by finding or creating a myriad of exits from our fenced yard. Her nickname was Princess Flight Risk. She was a sweet girl who loved meeting new people and visiting new places, but her heart was totally given to our family. She was a world class snuggler, a quiet companion, an ever patient soul with the many other pets she shared our home with.
On the day we had decided to help her cross over, the day kidney disease had become too much for her frail, elderly body, she took one last walk around the neighborhood, hopped up onto the couch, and slipped under the fence between this world and the next, sparing us from having to make that choice for her.
Run free, my sweet girl- in a place where there will be no more fences or leashes to restrain your adventuring spirit. We love you forever.
