Here at Best Friends, animals have such a special place in our lives. We honor those pets we’ve loved and those who need our help today.

Remembrances
Leaving a personal story, memory, or words of support for a pet’s family is a heartfelt way to pay tribute and provide comfort. As part of your remembrance, we also invite you to leave a virtual token along with your words — similar to our tradition here at the Sanctuary of leaving stones, beloved items, or small toys on the graves of cherished animals.
Til we meet again sweet #abigail
I'm sure you were welcomed over the #rainbowbridge by so much love. The first picture is the first picture I took of you. As a scared, under the bed, hiding kitty I took my time to gain your trust. Before I met you, I heard your purring over the baby monitor. Such a loud motor! Daily sitting on the floor next to the bed you would hide under, with kitty treats is how I did it. 1:00 nap time was our time... Snuggles, brushing, treats and I talked to you so much. I started leaving treats all over the house to get you out from under the bed. It worked. What a game we played! You loved to drink my water, eat yogurt and Cheez-Its with me. You loved your orange feathery toy and the mouse toy that held treats.
After I lost #TyraBanks you were there for me while I was at work. I needed it and I think you knew. Thank you for helping me heal my heart. I'm so grateful you were only sick for 3 weeks. It's not fair that you should have had to be sick and in pain. It doesn't seem real... Tomorrow at work it'll feel real. 💔
