Rue Anne
This beautiful little soul was everything to me. Rue Anne was a shih tzu/miniature poodle mix. Even though she had multiple medical issues, she was determined to live her best life. She was with me for almost 7 years. She had an amazing foster mom, in Philadelphia, who I stayed in contact with for the entire time. Rue Anne was almost her first foster fail! Rue Anne made friends with all the canine residents in our home at the time, including Molly, a senior cavalier/shih tzu mix; Chuck, an 80lb GSP; but mostly Diesel, a senior Jack Russell/shih tzu mix. All dogs were rescues! Our family vet, Dr. John Moffa was extremely involved in her daily care and I believe he loved her like the rest of us. He told me on several occasions that she was by far, his best patient; cooperative with everything he did to her! Even her groomer, Yvette, said she was so calm, she often fell asleep during bathing & grooming!
This beautiful furbaby was my faithful companion through some of the lowest times in my life. When my life took drastic turns, she was right there with me and didn't miss a beat. She was the perfect work bestie, going to work with me everyday for 6 years. She had hundreds of outfits with matching hair bows. We had a routine and she knew every step, even when she could no longer see and could barely hear. She loved going to work to see everyone especially her pal, Lenny, also a rescue. Rue Anne even had her own company uniform with the logo embroidered on it. This special soul was just that, very special. It seems as though everyone agreed! She was my traveling companion wherever I could take her! I believe she is my furbaby angel and helped me to move on after her passing. After her passing, about 1 month later, I brought home a little boy shih tzu named Romeo who had been terribly abused. He bears the scars of that abuse in temperament and with the facial deformities due to a fractured jaw bone. I believe Rue waited to cross over until she found me Romeo. After Rue Anne's passing which happened at home with her in my arms, I continued to hear her little click clack of her toes and her coughing at night. Occasionally I would even see a little tiny shadow pass me to remind me she was close. On the 2nd day after adopting Romeo, those sounds were gone and never returned. Rue Anne had fulfilled her angel duties. My day to day life is much different without her here, but I am continuing to bring hope to Romeo and give him his best life in her honor. Rue Anne is lovingly remembered and missed everyday.
