Zapa
He came in like a whirlwind. From the first day and the “cry less “ ride home in my wife’s lap, our boy Zapa realized he had a new home. One that would be under his control.
He was from good DNA, his dad a grand champion of Tibetan Terriers for two years at Westminster, but he was meant to be a pet. As a puppy, the days were non stop; constant play, play, play with no daytime naps. At least he slept well at night.
He was easily trainable, and while not a lap dog, he showed love and devotion in his own ways. After twelve healthy years, time and age began to catch up . Three knee surgeries later, his back legs didn’t work very well. At that point , he had his own cart for daily walks. He loved to scan his domain on his rides with special stops to smell his other dog friends.
Finally cancer took its toll. He was a trooper to the end , just short of 14 years.
We will miss and love him forever and forever, as we impatiently wait to reconnect with all of our previous pups. Each one leaves such a void.
