Mocha

2020 – 2025

Mocha was my best friend. She seemed to understand me when no one else could. She was one sassy rabbit though and definitely ruler of the house. When I got my two cats, they were just kittens, one of them was laying in the middle of the living room and Mocha came running from behind the couch, making a grunting noise, and she jumped right on top of the cat and then tried to punt the cat like a football. At the time I was horrified but now I find it funny and definitely says a lot about how she was with everything. She never seemed scared of anything. She was always so strong. She’s had her health issues but have always pulled through. Even the last one, that ultimately killed her, she still had fight in her until the very end. She died in my arms, telling her it was ok to let go. I will never forget her. She will always be with me.

Remembrances

Leaving a personal story, memory, or words of support for a pet’s family is a heartfelt way to pay tribute and provide comfort. As part of your remembrance, we also invite you to leave a virtual token along with your words — similar to our tradition here at the Sanctuary of leaving stones, beloved items, or small toys on the graves of cherished animals.
