Lexi
From the moment Lexi came into my life everything changed. At 20 years old I was blissfully unaware of the commitment I had made, but after almost 17 years filled with love and treasured memories, I wouldn’t change it for the world.
Lexi was a fighter. She fought for years despite having CHF, kidney disease, and CCD. I know she fought so hard because of me, she knew how important she was to me and that I needed more time with her. I finally realized that no matter how much her body continued to fail her she was never going to give up her fight and instead I would have to make the hardest decision of my life and help her cross the rainbow bridge.
It is because of Lexi that I understand why dogs are called man’s best friend because she was most certainly mine.
Lexi, rest easy my sweet girl. I hope you are running free and enjoying all the treats and squeaky toys your heart desires. You taught me more than I ever could’ve imagined and I pray we will be reunited someday. Your presence here will forever be missed and I love you beyond words 🩷
