Cassie
Cassie was my soul dog, my comfort, my joy, my light. She was the gentlest, most loving animal, a true angel. From her floppy, silky-smooth ears to her stubby little paws, she never failed to make me smile. Even in her old age and despite her arthritis, she would always make the effort to greet me at the door when I came home. I was her whole world, and she was mine. I will always cherish our memories: slow walks along the beach while she stopped to sniff every shell and stick; her daily zoomies after suppertime; her sneaky ability to steal food off people's plates when they weren't looking. Cassie helped me through some of the most trying times of my life, a constant source of love and cuddles at my side. She even walked my mom down the aisle at my wedding. Life will never be the same without her.
