JESSIE

2013 – 2024

Jessie was an absolute love bug. He loved sitting on my lap; he always wanted to be close to me. He suffered from diabetes and would take his insulin shots like a champion. He lost his appetite and stopped eating towards the end. I took him to the Vet and they put in a feeding tube surgically. I brought him after 4 or 5 days at the Vet. We spent the evening and night close together, next to each other. He died at 1:42AM the following morning, Saturday, February 24, 2024. It was a quick, but painful death. I had ben planning on having him euthanized humanely at the Vet around 8:30AM, with as little suffering as possible. But he did not make it to 8:30AM. I was absolutely devastated. So was his sister, Little Miss Sunshine. Jessie was cremated. His ashes are in a dear box on the mantelpiece. I will always love you, darling Jessie, and so will Sunshine. Both of us miss you still. We hope to be together with you some day soon. All our Love. Be safe with Jesus Christ till then.

Remembrances

Leaving a personal story, memory, or words of support for a pet’s family is a heartfelt way to pay tribute and provide comfort. As part of your remembrance, we also invite you to leave a virtual token along with your words — similar to our tradition here at the Sanctuary of leaving stones, beloved items, or small toys on the graves of cherished animals.
