Brody Bear

2010 – 2024

Brody came to us when he was just over 6. He was a sensitive, often timid guy. He LOVED to swim and retrieve, and if he had 2 or 3 dummies refused to return with the “treasure”. He loved to dock dive even though he was a bit clumsy, I.e., fell off docks - he had fun. He traveled all over in a motorhome and the German Shepherd part of him often guarded us in campgrounds. He passed the CGC and a tricks class. He got so excited about food that he’d offer behaviors/tricks - not what we told him to do. He loved to hang his head out the rear window (only when safe to do), and snarf food, that fell from the chopping board, off the floor. He tried to do agility but didn’t realize he was supposed to go FAST, he sauntered! He was a good boy and we miss him. ❤️

Remembrances

Leaving a personal story, memory, or words of support for a pet’s family is a heartfelt way to pay tribute and provide comfort. As part of your remembrance, we also invite you to leave a virtual token along with your words — similar to our tradition here at the Sanctuary of leaving stones, beloved items, or small toys on the graves of cherished animals.
