Biscuit

2010 – 2024

Biscuit was a dog who packed a mountain of personality into his 13 pounds, and he will always be our "Laughs Dog". Rescued from the streets of Milwaukee, for 11 years he graced us with his exuberance, snuggly nature, inimitable goofiness, magnetic eye contact, and his prancing gait. He was smart, maybe too smart. Sometimes he was "the Little Criminal", trying to sneak food off the floor while charming us with his beautiful soft almond eyes. More often he was Booby Boo, or one of the innumerable silly, loving nicknames we gave him. If only we could see him again, bounding down the hall, ears bouncing, ready for good things. 11 years feels cruelly short, though 20 years would've seemed just as unfair. Goodbye for now, Bisky. We shall see you again on the other side. Run fast and chase those crows!

Remembrances

Leaving a personal story, memory, or words of support for a pet’s family is a heartfelt way to pay tribute and provide comfort. As part of your remembrance, we also invite you to leave a virtual token along with your words — similar to our tradition here at the Sanctuary of leaving stones, beloved items, or small toys on the graves of cherished animals.
Biscuit was always so excited for walks, and always willing to go farther and see what was around the next bend. Patient with having his feet cleaned on wet days, and lightning fast to snuggle in on the couch for TV time. He embraced all of life with enthusiasm and happy cheer. We should all do as well. His memory is a blessing.
