J.J.

2006 – 2024

It is with a HEAVY, HEAVY Heart that I send this message. J.J. (My Cat) of 18 and 29 days years old, passed away on April 29th, 2024. He was a fighter the Dr.'s say and he was. He stopped breathing early in the morning and they got him going again. He was on a breathing machine. With his age his little body just couldn't fight off the infection.

He was from Texas, a feral cat that was rescued and became a celebrity for the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary for TNR. He was moved to Kanab Utah where he helped out in the office and babysat a kitten named Gracie. I saw him on their website and when I arrived, they called his name and he came out of a little condo and jumped in my lab. That was it! He then moved to Las Vegas. He survived 3 cats, Kamyer, Moxie and Buster Girl. My heart is broken!! I Love and Miss him so very, very much!!

Remembrances

Leaving a personal story, memory, or words of support for a pet’s family is a heartfelt way to pay tribute and provide comfort. As part of your remembrance, we also invite you to leave a virtual token along with your words — similar to our tradition here at the Sanctuary of leaving stones, beloved items, or small toys on the graves of cherished animals.
