A Best Friends Angels Rest Pet Memorial

Penny

2020 – 2024

Penny died too young. She was smart and adventurous, adorable and super friendly. She loved pressing her buttons to ask for pets or play, or just to say "I love you." She tolerated her harness because it meant she got to go outside to look at the birds and hunt crickets. She never got enough of playing with her springs or the sash from my fuzzy (zebra-print) robe. She was a bit of a velcro-kitty, which was perfect because I'm a bit of a velcro-human. My home feels empty without her to wake me up in the mornings, greet me after classes, and fall asleep with at night. She was so so so special; I only wish we'd had more time.

Remembrances

Leaving a personal story, memory, or words of support for a pet’s family is a heartfelt way to pay tribute and provide comfort. As part of your remembrance, we also invite you to leave a virtual token along with your words — similar to our tradition here at the Sanctuary of leaving stones, beloved items, or small toys on the graves of cherished animals.
Penny was the floofiest, prettiest, most inquisitive cat I've ever known. She knew she was so very loved. She will be missed.

Penny was the brightest star. Watching her floofy face walk by in the bubble backpack outside is one of my earliest and favorite memories. May she continue her adventures in the cosmos. You will be greatly missed, Penny.
