Remembrances

Leaving a personal story, memory, or words of support for a pet’s family is a heartfelt way to pay tribute and provide comfort. As part of your remembrance, we also invite you to leave a virtual token along with your words — similar to our tradition here at the Sanctuary of leaving stones, beloved items, or small toys on the graves of cherished animals.
Korra Bean Iaguessa was a tiny dog with a big brain and an enormous heart. Her sweet personality and enthusiasm for life were traits we should all strive for.

She was welcomed to Joey's home when she was just a few weeks old and immediately became his beloved companion. Korra and Joey were soul mates, and Timber was Korra's most precious friend. Korra was proud to be a member of the Iaguessa and Martin families.

She was a bit anxious around new people, but once she checked you out, you were golden. Bean had many great friends who loved her dearly.

She had no idea that she was a small dog and she knew she was the boss around other dogs.

She loved to visit Tony and Leah Ann's home in Springfield, and she would run like a rabbit to fetch her balls in the back yard. She loved to be hugged and cuddled. She would patiently wait for us to share our meals with her, but it was mandatory that we share. We affectionately called her "sassy pants" because she was very sassy with Toby.

Bean was very photogenic and knew how to smile. She was happy to be included in our annual family Christmas photos.

Korra's spirit will live on in our hearts forever. Goodbye our precious Bean. Fly away to wait for us at the Rainbow Bridge. We love you!
