Daphne

2024

We adopted Daphne, a mixed breed, from Hood River Adopt A Dog, in late 2010. She was around 2 years old.
She quickly established herself as the dominant dog in our pack.
She loved car rides, walks, and running in the snow.
She was always sweet natured, and got along great with the cats and the other dogs.
She started exhibiting neuropathy a couple of years ago. She was no longer dominant at this time, but still loved her rides, walks and the snow.
Recently, her neuropathy progressed to where treatment was no longer feasible, and we had to let her go.
She will always be missed.

Remembrances

Leaving a personal story, memory, or words of support for a pet’s family is a heartfelt way to pay tribute and provide comfort. As part of your remembrance, we also invite you to leave a virtual token along with your words — similar to our tradition here at the Sanctuary of leaving stones, beloved items, or small toys on the graves of cherished animals.
