Remembrances

Leaving a personal story, memory, or words of support for a pet’s family is a heartfelt way to pay tribute and provide comfort. As part of your remembrance, we also invite you to leave a virtual token along with your words — similar to our tradition here at the Sanctuary of leaving stones, beloved items, or small toys on the graves of cherished animals.
A puppy mill dog who was used for breeding, Marlee was 3 and extremely timid when she found her forever home. Heartbreaking frightened, she imprinted onto her new mom and over time with the help of her canine siblings she became emboldened enough to accept love from others.

They say that the eyes are the gateway to the soul, and Marlee's eyes even made her experienced vet melt which resulted in cheese treats with every visit.

In the blink of an eye, 13 1/2 years of pure love passed and it was time to say goodbye. Marlee's family is heartbroken, especially her mom who says no one will ever love her as much as Marlee did.

As the saying goes, we're not really sure who rescued who !!!
