Eddie
Eddie was unlike any cat or pet I ever had, one night I was feeling very bad and about 3:00am I went downstairs to lay on the couch as I lie there I heard Eddie meowing in a very low voice he came over to me and began licking my forehead he knew I was feeling bad, after that he jumped up on the couch and curled up with me, he was taking care of me and he’s done this more than once.
About a year later I adopted a second cat I named Elwood so Eddie would have some company while I was working, these two became such good friends after a few months they were together all the time, Eddie took him in like a big brother.
For 10 years they were always together, best friends,
When Elwood passed Eddie took it very hard, he walked around for days looking at all the spots Elwood used to sleep or hide trying to find him, I never seen a pet miss another pet so much, it broke my heart..
Eddie also greeted me everyday when I came home from work, once he heard the garage door open he was at the back door meowing loudly before I came in.
He was also the first cat I ever walked on a harness and leash, he would try to get out sometimes when the door was open so I bough a cat harness and leash and he took right to the first time I put it on him, and if I forgot to walk him one night he would pull the leash/harness off the bannister where I would hang it to get my attention and remind me to walk.
Eddie was my best friend for almost 15 years and I miss him and Elwood so much.
Eddie was such a sweet, mellow and intelligent boy, I love him and miss him so much.
Eddie is the all orange tabby and Elwood is the tuxedo tabby.
I have had cats since I was a little kid and I thought I knew them well but Eddie changed that big time, such a sweet, amazing boy.
He was pure love.
