A Best Friends Angels Rest Pet Memorial

Katie

2009 – 2023

Katie was a rescue who had a tough start in life but turned out to be the sweetest dog I could have ever adopted. She was a joy and is deeply missed.

Remembrances

Leaving a personal story, memory, or words of support for a pet’s family is a heartfelt way to pay tribute and provide comfort. As part of your remembrance, we also invite you to leave a virtual token along with your words — similar to our tradition here at the Sanctuary of leaving stones, beloved items, or small toys on the graves of cherished animals.
Hi Alice. I always thought that if there was reincarnation I would want to come back as one of your animals. You rescued Katie from a terrible situation and gave her a life fit for a queen. I’ll always remember her little ears flapping as she came trotting down the sidewalk and how she was always so feisty with Sammy. She did a pretty good job of keeping Oliver in line, too. Katie was a little dog with a huge spirit, and I think that spirit got her through until you made your way to each other. I’ll also remember how content she was as you so carefully carried her in your arms and took her for walks as her tired little body was winding down. You’ll see her again, and she’ll be young and energetic and perfect in all ways. Her little ears will be flapping as she runs towards you, overjoyed to see you again. God promises that He’ll provide is with everything we need to be happy in Heaven, so although she’s gone it’s just temporary. But oh what a reunion it will be!!!
