Bala

2026

Just recently we had to say goodbye to our beloved blonde Golden Retriever, Bala. Bala loved her walks, rides in a car, and chasing her red rubber ball and her Frisbee. Chasing rabbits, squirrels and cats were high on her list also. But most of all she loved her treats, especially her Kong with peanut butter inside.   Bala never met a person she didn't like. She especially loved little children and they loved her. Until she couldn't do it anymore she would climb on the couch and lay next to someone seeking their attention and she always got it.  Even towards the end of her journey she would greet me, Dean, at the door upon returning home. She always had a happy face and tail wagging furiously. It saddens me to know I will never share these moments again. Bala was such a sweet girl. She will always be remembered as a loving part of the family, not just a pet. Though we may not be able to see Bala anymore she will never truly be gone; we can take comfort knowing that her memory will last forever. Rest in peace sweet Bala.

Remembrances

Leaving a personal story, memory, or words of support for a pet’s family is a heartfelt way to pay tribute and provide comfort. As part of your remembrance, we also invite you to leave a virtual token along with your words — similar to our tradition here at the Sanctuary of leaving stones, beloved items, or small toys on the graves of cherished animals.
