Here at Best Friends, animals have such a special place in our lives. We honor those pets we’ve loved and those who need our help today. At Best Friends, we keep pets in our hearts

Remembrances

Leaving a personal story, memory, or words of support for a pet’s family is a heartfelt way to pay tribute and provide comfort. As part of your remembrance, we also invite you to leave a virtual token along with your words — similar to our tradition here at the Sanctuary of leaving stones, beloved items, or small toys on the graves of cherished animals.
I know there’s nothing I can say to make this better, but I wish I could. I know how much Yogi meant to you and I’m so sorry you had to say goodbye. May you feel comforted by the years of care and love you provided for him.

I am very very sorry for your loss. I am sure Yogi lived a life well-loved and left you all with many happy memories.

Words cannot express the grief from losing a dog, though grief only comes when someone that was truly loved is lost. Yogi and dogs everywhere love unconditionally and you gave him a final day doing what he loved most, being with you two. Don't be sad that a best friend was lost, but grateful you got to experience a friendship you'll cherish forever. Rest in Peace Yogi.

So sorry for your loss. In this time of grief take solace in remembering the long and joyous life you were able to provide for Yogi. He was a significant member of your family and lives on through your fond memories.
