Liza

2006 – 2026

Liza walked like a runway model with her front paws crossing in front of the other. She was very independent and preferred her company over other cats. She loved to rub her pheromones on objects and those people she loved but hated to be picked up and/or carried. The last year of her life she suffered two strokes. She made a remarkable come back physically and continued to enjoy sunning on the deck and bird watching. The last three days of her life were a steady decline from renal failure. She no longer ate or drank so I knew her life on earth was over. I pray my remarkable and beautiful girl is enjoying her new health and life and she will run to greet me when I too cross over into heaven.

Remembrances

Leaving a personal story, memory, or words of support for a pet’s family is a heartfelt way to pay tribute and provide comfort. As part of your remembrance, we also invite you to leave a virtual token along with your words — similar to our tradition here at the Sanctuary of leaving stones, beloved items, or small toys on the graves of cherished animals.
