As part of your remembrance, we also invite you to leave a virtual token along with your words — similar to our tradition here at the Sanctuary of leaving stones, beloved items, or small toys on the graves of cherished animals.

I had the honor of meeting Casey in person once. What I witnessed was her love and trust for Steve and Michele. I know more of Casey from how often Michele would share about their walks, her trips to Scenthound, or when our mutual pet sitter, Ryan would say something. In fact, Casey got to have a little staycation at our house when we needed Ryan to watch our house during the same weekend Steve and Michele needed Ryan to watch Casey. So, Casey got to enjoy our gated yard and sniff around (and pee upon) our 200 gallon fish tank. Ryan even sent me a picture of Casey enjoying our yard. Having lost our dog 7 months prior, it gave us great joy to see another dog enjoy our home and yard. I know Casey provided a lot of JOY to Michele and Steve. Love hearing the story of how Michele picked up Casey as a puppy and had no idea what to do with him. Steve had experience with dogs/puppies, but the day they got him he was sick and not well enough to guide Michele. She and Casey figured it out together. Casey, thank you for the love you had for your friends and family. You were truly a special pup!

You are invited to join us the last Thursday of each month at 4 p.m. MT as we remember the lives of pets we have loved and lost. For those who are not able to attend in person, a video recording of each blessing is posted soon thereafter online.
