A Best Friends Angels Rest Pet Memorial

Barley

2010 – 2025

Thank you for helping us to say goodbye to our beloved Barley who brought joy to our lives for nearly 15 wonderful years.

Barley was a true friend and a cherished family member. His love for food was unmatched; truly a foodie at heart. Every meal was highly anticipated, every trip to the kitchen was full of hope, and his excitement was contagious. His desire for endless belly rub sessions were a testament to his affectionate nature, and his generous licks were his way of showing his love.

Rest in peace dear Barley. Thank you for all the love, laughter, and unforgettable moments you brought into our lives.
You will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Remembrances

Leaving a personal story, memory, or words of support for a pet’s family is a heartfelt way to pay tribute and provide comfort. As part of your remembrance, we also invite you to leave a virtual token along with your words — similar to our tradition here at the Sanctuary of leaving stones, beloved items, or small toys on the graves of cherished animals.
N&R,

Barley was such a gentle soul. He was endlessly sweet, the kind of dog who seemed permanently ready for a cuddle. He was calm, mellow, and always happy to be petted. Just like Hops, we were lucky to have met him when he first entered your lives at The Olivia 16 years ago! When we lived nearby and saw him often, he was so incredibly patient and kind with our girls, which is the display of quiet generosity that seemed to define his whole personality.

We feel very lucky to have shared so many moments with that sweet, mellow boy. He left a lot of gentleness behind him. We miss you Barlito!!

Barley was always the ying to Hops' yang, in the most beautiful way. A quiet power, full of soothing presence. A true heartbreaker and a real cutie, no one could resist. Many times during my visits, he made me feel seen when I felt down, and that's a gift I won't forget :)

Even at his laziest, Barley would always visibly perk up the second he noticed somebody in the room with him, and would usually ask for belly rubs in the next second. I'll miss giving him one treat too many. Sorry for your loss.

Barley was such a cheerful little guy! A snuggly little furball, full of love. Such a handsome good natured little dude! We will miss him. RIP in doggie heaven Barley ❤️

Barley, you were the sweetest OG. Favorites are technically not allowed with dogs but oh well - you were Jenn's favorite. 15 years of the best little waddle and the warmest brown eyes and the most pure little nature. You loved a tummy rub and licking anyone who would like free kisses. Like everyone with any taste, you were always scanning to see where the next piece of cheese was coming from. You were a very patient big brother with the kindest heart toward your sassy little sis. And you brought such joy to your family who loves you so very much. It's hard to imagine you not around, so I'll just picture you peacefully napping over the rainbow bridge, waiting for all of us to scoop you up when we arrive and give you so many kisses. Love you Barley boy. ❤️
