Remembrances
Leaving a personal story, memory, or words of support for a pet’s family is a heartfelt way to pay tribute and provide comfort. As part of your remembrance, we also invite you to leave a virtual token along with your words — similar to our tradition here at the Sanctuary of leaving stones, beloved items, or small toys on the graves of cherished animals.
Rascal, Rascal, Rascal....such a sweet little boy that truly lived up to his name, RASCAL. While small in stature, he was mighty in personality. Barking at the door, or at nothing at all, just because it made him happy, rolling in the grass, eating like a champ, running and hiding with his squeaky baby or getting a good scratch or massage, not to mention all the kisses, Rascal was such a happy pup! Despite the challenges of diabetes and eventually losing his sight, Rascal was a true champion; nothing stopped him from living his best life. He was an inspiration and example of resilience. A faithful companion to his humans and his rescued bother Romano, Rascal was just a love. His passing is heartbreaking, but his love and memory will live on forever in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing, caring and loving him. Sweet dear Rascal, rest in peace.
