Dixie was "the one."

The one that made this non cat person an absolute cat lover with her purrs and unconditional love.
The one that was so very sweet, patient and kind.
The one that was so beautiful yet she didn't even know it.
The one that met me on my desk every morning at work and also at my pillow at bedtime.
The one that would get up on my chest and look right into my eyes with her beautiful blue ones.
The one who had the gift of making me feel better when I was sick or hurting.
The one who reached out of her cage and tapped my shoulder at the rescue as if to say 'take me home.'

I'm so glad I did.

I only had you in my life for 8 short years, but you changed my life forever.

Always in my heart, my beautiful Dixie Girl....

You are invited to join us the last Thursday of each month at 4 p.m. MT as we remember the lives of pets we have loved and lost. For those who are not able to attend in person, a video recording of each blessing is posted soon thereafter online.
