Exodus

2008 – 2024

Exodus (or Keeks or Keekers as we often called him) was the sweetest cat to ever walk the earth. He was truly one of a kind, with the happiest personality and the cutest little perma-blep.

He lived the first few years of his life as a barn cat in Ohio, and eventually ended up at the Sanctuary after being rescued in 2011. We were lucky enough to meet him while volunteering at Jill's Diner in 2012, and after spending time with him on a sleepover we just had to make him part of our family.

He didn't have a mean bone in his body and loved every single person and animal he ever met. He even loved going to the vet because it meant he could meet more people! He was especially bonded with his brother Yuki, and the two of them could often be found sleeping with their arms wrapped around each other or curled up together in a little yin-yang circle.

He was the purest soul, the sweetest boy, the best brother, and the most unique, perfect little cat who ever lived. We will love and miss him forever.

Remembrances

Leaving a personal story, memory, or words of support for a pet’s family is a heartfelt way to pay tribute and provide comfort. As part of your remembrance, we also invite you to leave a virtual token along with your words — similar to our tradition here at the Sanctuary of leaving stones, beloved items, or small toys on the graves of cherished animals.
