Nilla

2005 – 2023

Nilla was the little love of my life. She always made me happy, and she did so much more for me than I did for her. We had the best life together. I love her, miss her, and think of her all the time. My heart and soul mate. 18 years of the best times and I am so grateful to her for them.
Thank you, Nilla, for the life you gave to me! I love you forever❤️

Focus on the love we share, which always will remain
Remember me when you see the sun, a cloud, or even rain
In your heart I’ll always be, with a loving stare
Hold on to our memories, they are always there
We had a good run together, this I know for sure
Remember when you’d sometimes leave and I’d wait by the door
Remember how you took me everywhere you could, and I loved being by your sides
Remember this and think of me, I loved to go for rides
Remember how we snuggled and you always kept me warm, remember how our love survives and can weather any storm
Remember when you kissed me on the temple of my head, remember how excited I would get when you’d say “let’s go to bed”
Remember all the meals we shared, treats and snacks too, remember all the trips we took, you know I always do
Remember all the walkies, and some bikies we went for too, remember all these things with me, as I will always remember you

I’ll always be your sweet girl and will remain inside your heart, and live on through all the memories, so we never really part🐾🐾

Remembrances

Leaving a personal story, memory, or words of support for a pet’s family is a heartfelt way to pay tribute and provide comfort. As part of your remembrance, we also invite you to leave a virtual token along with your words — similar to our tradition here at the Sanctuary of leaving stones, beloved items, or small toys on the graves of cherished animals.
Nilla was a very special doggie and I will miss her. I’ll never forget when you first brought her home to M&D’s house and she was just so little and cute. I feel like I grew up with Nilla because she was always there from the time I graduated high school until I had my first baby. I’d see her at least once a year at Christmas time and it was always so much fun to get to play and cuddle with her. She was a sweet girl even when she had her grouchy moments in her senior years. Thank you Nilla, for your companionship to me and your mommy cat. You were so loved and have so much love in return.
